Oscar's a sweet, mild-mannered guy who's in a struggling band. It's earned the respect of some larger acts but doesn't make enough money to support itself yet! His skill with a guitar is known to blow others away, not because it's so unattainable, but because he doesn't look the part at all.
His relationship with predators is fraught with conflict. Sometimes, they're monsters about to come for him at any moment. Other times, they're just people. Still other times, he finds himself
terribly curious about how it would feel to make himself truly vulnerable to one. He's quite new to living among predator species, as he'd been largely segregated from them at home and in school.
Oscar currently lives in a 'punk house', a single-family rental home with at least three other people. It's in a bad part of the city, about two blocks away from an illicit meat market. It's hard to pin down who actually lives there, between those who use it for a mailing address and those who contribute to the rent, but barely wind up sleeping there. Oscar's room is tiny, with furniture crammed in what used to be a storage room.
For now, Oscar works as a dishwasher at a restaurant. It's less than ideal for him, given that the rest of the band works day jobs and his time for practice or even gigs is limited. Between that and selling his wool, he makes his way in the house. Mostly. He longs for a job that gives him more time and freedom to practice, or maybe even an old-fashioned patron who'll pay for him to continue writing music! He gets along with his coworkers well, and is allowed to listen to music while washing, so it isn't all terrible.
